Relay for Life Silent and Live Auctions will take place on July 17-18 this year. Mike Burleigh, Chairperson of this event, is seeking donated items to be auctioned. If you are a performer maybe you could donate an hour of your time as an Auction item or an Artist maybe some artwork. Any and all things PG rated are welcomed. Maybe you have or work for a First Life Business that would like to donate something? All proceeds from the Auction will go to the American Cancer Society.

If you are interested in donating one or more pieces to Relay for Life Silent or Live Auctions, please do the following:

1.Put the work you are donating  in a folder labeled--- eg...
(your name/RFL Auctions 2010 ).

2. Please include a notecard in the folder for each piece or service donated with a brief description of the item or services. Also include the minumum bid we should expect to recieve for each item. If the donation is an object please say how many prims it has.

3. Delivery of your donated work (folder) should take place before and no later than July 1st. To ensure they will be ready for auction prior to the event. We are however already accepting the items as it will be easier to plan the earliest we have all the items. Please send folder to Mike Burleigh in SL.

Announcing the first SL "Memorial Day for Missing Children"  by Initiative Vermisste Kinder CIC/ Germany:
In celebration of International Missing Children’s Day, May 25th, Initiative Vermisste Kinder CIC is sponsoring a day of music, poetry and memorial celebrations.

AvatarStyle.net will host a champagne reception to benefit Fondation Beaumont, an organization dedicated to promoting the arts in SL. The event will take place at 12PM SLT on Saturday, April 17^th as part of the grand re-opening festivities for Artis Gallery.

The official release of Kellee Blaylock's SL music video, "Domino" will be held at The Foundry at Szondi Estates on April 13 at 7pm SLT. The singer/songwriter will be streaming live for a performance, and will debut his much anticipated SL music video, "Domino."

In real life the Buddy Walk is a one-mile walk raising awareness and collecting pledges to benefit Down Syndrome. In Second Life it will be a bit different, there will be a path to walk, but the main festivities will be the all day entertainment. There will be live singers and live DJs throughout the day. Kiosks will be available throughout the venue where donations will be collected. All funds collected will go directly to NDSS (National Down Syndrome Society).
