A selection of artwork with the color gold is displayed along with two sculptures with an architectural theme.  A free Valentine is provided to anyone who attends along with nine others in the collection.  Primagery is the process of creating prim sculptures for the purpose of taking photographs of it.  ~Authentic Second Life Art~

January 26, 2009. Second Life. Designing Digitally, Inc. is pleased to announce the completion of Cybertec Campus. This island was completed for Camden County Community College in New Jersey. This design was to be projected as a futuristic/organic look and feel. This virtual campus includes a large outdoor amphitheater, lecture hall, information building, student collaboration building, and a museum for showcasing students artwork. The island also features a large "sandbox" which creates an open space for students to be able to begin development of models and other materials in-world.

Camden County College plans to use this island for hosting classes and lectures, holding seminars, collaborative work between other universities and recruiting future students.

January 20, 2009. Second Life. - At 11.00 AM SLT on the 26th of January 2009, the Ewing Fashion Agency will once again be joining forces with the Amsterdam-based real-world talent managers, The Artist Advice for another Second Life/Real World simutaneous fashion event.  During the live fashion show at Beurs van Berlage (Amsterdam - The Netherlands), the Ewing Fashion Agency will host the Second Life version of the show at its Ischia sim location, where EGG Development will reproduce the venue of the show, The Beurs van Berlage. 

Building on the success of last years First Fusion show, this year each event will be viewable to the other as they occur.  The Real World creations of Real World designers Jennifer Delano, Melanie Brown and Eleonore de Ruuk  are being recreated for the Second Life production by a talented lineup of Second Life designers: Digit Darkes, Neferia Abel, Sascha Frangilli, Simone Stern, Sysy Chapman and Zaara Kohime.  In acknowledgement of significance of these innovative collaborations, Runway Magazine and DX Exchange have signed on as corporate sponsors for the event. Beside the fashion show, also the DJ will be presented in both world, Damien Simons will be on stage in the Beurs van Berlage and at Ischia during the show.

January 5, 2008. Second Life, Saturn Sim. Anandra Contemporary Arts Forum : "Facing the Depths of Primagery" - a solo exhibit of Limited Edition pieces that have been selected from 8 different series. This is my first Limited Edition exhibit and is the Grand Re-opening of Anandra. Also on display are miniatures of the primagery sculptures that were used to create the 2D "paintings". A formal Opening Reception with dancing and a DJ is scheduled January 11, 6 pm - 8 pm.

The show will run through February 18, 2009.

Primagery is a word Sledge Roffo coined for the process he uses to create 2D art purely in Second Life. Sledge says, "Its the closest thing to making paintings in SL as I can get. I build one or more prims and then apply textures to them--exploring volume, transparency, and luminosity-- and then capture it with a snapshot.  I then have a 2D image which I lay down on a "canvas".

No photoshop is used to alter the image.  Its authentic Second Life art.

January 4, 2009. Second Life. After much deliberation, and much too much partying in Second Life, Ravelong Productions in SL has come up with the Top SL DJ Clubs of 2008.

What makes a great Second Life DJ club? It is a combination of the live DJs mixing their own unique sounds, the staff committing themselves to the project, the people making the ultimate unified enjoyed experience, and the background atmosphere of the club design.

A DJ club where you feel like family when you walk in, and you're upset if you log off too early is the kind of experience that puts the following clubs on the Top List of 2008 SL DJ Clubs. (These are clubs that survived through 2008 and the doors are still open.)

January 3, 2009. Second Life -Hotlanta Blues - Northfarthing. Announcing the Grand Opening of the hottest new blues club in SL. Hotlanta is fashioned after old, urban, hard-times Atlanta. The 3-story Hotlanta Blues club includes a main event floor and dance area, a bar on the 2nd floor with pool tables and dance area, plus there is a large dance floor and secluded dance areas on the roof. The perfect atmosphere for the blues!
